Linux plus examination was designed by computing technology industry association- which is popularly known as compTIA. This Linux+ certification program was specially designed for measuring the professional’s technical competency for using the Linux operating system in any of the multinational companies. By just passing in XK0-002, professionals can become certified with Linux plus certification and can be able to manage as well as maintain with Linux servers and Linux based servers.

You don’t need to worry about whether this certification will suit you best. This is because there are many job roles included with this certification program. System administrator, network technician and network administrator etc are some of the job designations for this Linux plus certification program. Hence professionals can get placed in any one of these positions in any multinational companies. There are no special pre-requisite necessary to the professionals for certifying with this program but comp TIA recommends to the candidates to have at least 6 to 12 months of work experience in supporting with Linux operating system.
What all can be expected in the XK0-002 examination?
This is the only exam for the Linux plus certification program. It just consists of 98 questions approximately with 90 minutes of duration. For passing in the exam, professionals need to score minimum of 675 marks out of 900. Scoring even with 674 marks will result in re-take of the examination. Hence it is important to the professionals in doing hard work while preparing with this examination. The following are the divisions where candidates have to practice thoroughly before taking with this examination and they are:
1) Creation of partitions
2) Configuration of several file systems
3) Installation of all system hardware that are required and compatibility checking with the Linux distribution
